Look closer

“Nobody looks at flowers anymore. No. They are so small … and we have so little time … Seeing flowers takes time, that’s why I said to myself: I’m going to paint them. I will represent what a flower means to me, I will paint them big, so that people will be surprised and stop to look at them.

Then, even the busiest New Yorkers will take the time to look at the flowers. Yes, I will force them and, when that happens, people will make new associations with my flowers, they will write about them and I will think things about my flower that I did not see before” Georgia O’Keeffe by Randall Griffin
